Mushroom species & varieties
Kinoko generates a limited list of mushroom species and varieties for you. You can add more to this list or edit existing ones. For instance, if you have a variety of mushroom that we did not include, you can come to this screen to add a new one.
For each variety, you can enter information such as cultivation time in days, grow time in days, grade degradation time in days, and block to yield weight ratio. Each of these values are estimates that affect the predictions on the farm dashboard.
- cultivation time (days) - refers to how long a mushroom block of the given variety spends in cultivation
- grow time (days) - refers to how long a mushroom block of the given variety spends in the fruiting stage
- grade degradation time (days) - refers to how long after being moved into storage does a block move from Grade A to Grade B
- block to yield weight ratio - refers to the estimated yield a block of a particular weight will have. For instance, if Shiitake’s block to yield weight ratio is 0.5 and you have a block that is 5lbs, we will estimate that you will receive a yield of approximately 2.5lbs
