QR Codes
The web app serves as a hub for accessing and analyzing your farm's data, while the mobile app streamlines the process of collecting real-time data directly from the field. In Kinoko, the mobile app works by scanning QR codes of blocks, locations, and trays to quickly and efficiently collect data.
Each block, location, and tray is auto assigned a barcode identifier for identification. Each label contains this barcode identifier so that you can easily determine if you've scanned the correct label.
When setting up your farm, you should print a label for each location you create. You can then place these labels onto the rooms, racks, shelves, and locations.
Before inoculating your blocks, you should print out QR code labels for each block in a batch. You may have a limited number of blocks depending on your subscription level. The block amount remaining in your subscription is not decreased until you have scanned in a block (ie you can print out a block label, but that will not affect your subscription usage until you have actually scanned the label for the first time)
To print out QR code labels, you can go to the ‘Generate Labels’ screen within Kinoko. You will be taken through 3 steps to generate labels.
