Substrates & substrate ingredients
A substrate represents the medium that allows the mushroom mycelium to develop and establish itself. The substrate is a mix of substrate ingredients. For instance, you can have a pile of substrate (let’s call it Substrate A) that is composed of several substrate ingredients such as wheat straw, horse manure, hay, cottonseed hulls, etc. For each substrate ingredient, you can provide a supplier. This will allow you to track from whom you received your substrate ingredients. If a recall happens, you will know exactly which blocks were affected.
